I installed the xubuntu-desktop package on Ubuntu 11.10. After some
tweaking, it looks and feels more or less the same as GNOME 2 in
Ubuntu 10.10.
GNOME Shell feels just as immature as GNOME 2.0 did when it came out.
I think it has a lot of potential that will show itself over time. For
now, XFCE suits me fine.
