Hi Steven,
There's nothing wrong with a nice GUI to do things
with. It's attractive, easy to navigate and you
can browse just like you do in a store! It's a
great, fun way to look for something you may want
to use and to find things you didn't know about.
Sometimes I just wander down the aisles of the
GNU/Linux 'app store' (LOL) on my machine just to
see what there is and have found some amazingly
interesting things.
Re: the 'old dogs, new tricks' comment. Some old
dogs never learnt tricks before becoming old :)
