Ben, Daniel,
I was about to give up on this, as, no matter what, it was starting
dhclient on reboot and going to DHCP, anyhow, I thought I'd rename backup
files by prefixing with '._' as so:
._ifcfg-eth0.bak
._ifcfg-eth0.dhcp
so maybe it was looking at ifcfg-eth0.dhcp in preference to ifcfg-eth0 ?
what's weird that the system was on 192.168.1.15 last week, and, I had to
move to .5, it was only after the NIC crashed that it went to DHCP, after
NIC was removed/re-inserted
