I'm sure it is probably not a game that anyone here plays, but it seems
to have a problem that may relate to my hardware.
The game interface freezes at points usually well into the levels and
when there is a bit going on. the game will continue BUT the screen
freezes preventing interaction with me (the player). The audio is still
fine and I can hear the ball still bouncing until it is lost. The screen
usually returns to normal at some stage, usually not too long after the
new ball appears.
Has anyone else had this problem? Could it be my machine or setup?
I have a Semperon 64 3300+ with 1 GB RAM and an nvidia 6200 with 256MB
on board and a Soundblaster Live audio card and am running the x86_64bit
version of Ubuntu 8.04 with a gnome desktop and the nvidia_new drivers
provided by the ubuntu distribution but this problem also occurs using
the 32bit version.
Also, Doom2 works in 32 bit but freezes in 64 bit.
