Then again if you want to mention anything about attitude towards
shareholders and attitude towards finance in general I have a
personal belief that India is not the place to go for business. My
fathers hobby was always about dealing in shares. Not a lot but
small amounts. An Indian company have owed him thousands for £££/$$$
for twenty years. They still haven't coughed up. Also, my mobile
phone runs on the Three network - www.three.co.uk - this is the worst
mobile phone network that I have ever come across. Believe me, I've
seen some bad networks and mostly in the United States. You call the
three call centre and someone comes back with some Bindi Badger
(curried badger/wombat) type of language which is completely
unintelligible and then they proceed to screw up everything. It
might be hard to understand an Oz outback accent sometimes but
something like "Watcher mate ! We'll fix it for ya !" followed by a
competent explanation is a lot better than a long distance chat about
how not to produce some sort of Indian quisine.
So, good IT people or knowledge of good IT practice may not be
everything :) But, some decent cricket certainly swings a business
deal in the right direction ;)
