Ummm trying to solve 'some problem somewhere' is a waste of time for
everybody involved:
If you install SuSE 10.3 then menu, lst is NOT blank.
grub.conf is NOT relevant (it is on RH/Fedora)
Solve this before you worry about booting win (I've never done vista,
can't help) but Xp is automatically detected and an entry in menu.lst
results.
Use 'less /boot/grub/menu.lst' to see it, <shudder> you can even edit it
with nano or joe.
Make 1 page of notes and use vi (vim)!
<esc>:q to quit, <esc>:w to write, i to insert, <esc> to stop inserting,
x to blot out 1 char
There 1 line!
