What protocol are you using, pop3 or imap?

I have a couple of colleagues at work who connect with evolution to 
our local (microsoft) mail server with imap and have all sorts of
problems. I also connect using imap, but using the Sylpheed mail
client and have no problems whatsoever.

Just a data point.
