Step 1) Turn on the wireless
If you have a switch (Sony Viao) JOY!
If you have a 'button' start hunting for some S/W but keep your
eye on suitable PCMCIA cards, you will surely need one.
If you need a card, try it first. I discovered that even safe (sic)
cards like 'orinoco gold' come in many flavours (agere, intersil etc
chipsets) and the wrong ones don't work.
The ONLY native laptop wireless I ever made work is a Sony Viao centrino (B55?)
ofcourse there are other woes like 'sound' (none!)
Cisco 350 series cards seem to all work
