Hi,
I'm trying to set up WPA with a pre-shared key for some additional
security on my wireless access point.
The access point is a 3com OfficeConnect 3CRWE454G72. It allows me to
set up WPA with pre-shared key and to specify the key.
I use a prism54-based pcmcia wireless card which works fine with the
access point when used with WEP.
When running wpa_supplicant it scans for access points and finds the
3com ok but doesn't connect. Among a lot of debug output the following
is shown (with a couple of x's thrown in):
0: 00:0b:ac:xx:xx:xx ssid='WPAtest' wpa_ie_len=0 rsn_ie_len=0 caps=0x11
skip - no WP/RSN IE
I am assuming because the two values are 0 wpa_supplicant thinks the
access point is not WPA capable. Am I correct?
Would anybody have any idea how to correct this situation?
Thanks,
Matt
