Hi all,
I run Debian Sarge using the lpd print system. Using the 2.4 kernel, it
works OK, but I have installed a 2.6.something and it fails.
alant@windy:~$ lpq
Warning: lp queue is turned off
Warning: no daemon present
Rank Owner Job Files Total Size
1st alant 3 (standard input) 33806 bytes
If I run printtool, it tells me that it can't find a parallel port and
suggests that I install the parport module. But:
alant@windy:~$ sudo lsmod | grep parport
parport_pc 36900 0
parport 41800 1 parport_pc
Any help gratefully appreciated.
Cheers,
Alan
