Hi,
I've got a windows box that isn't very alive but I need to salvage about 4 GIG of data from it.
Sound familiar?....
I thought so <grin>
I've got a knoppix live cd and can access the drives on the windows box and establish a connection via ethernet to another linux box.
I want to upload a directory tree recursively.
I can't do that with ftp or I'd have to traverse the tree manually.
Apparently with lftp I can.
However doing just 'mirror -R thisLocalDirectory' from the (1/2Dead windoze box) comes up with permission failures and it seems I have to create the directory structure on the remote machine first, that is before I upload.
Any tips on how to upload this 4 GIG of (self-composed and therefore valued) music?
Any help appreciated,
thanks,
Luke
