I have recently been fighting with a strange glitch in my video display.
I have an i740 agp card with 8Mb RAM on my work machine. It runs Debian
Unstable (Originally Morphix) and when I upgrade I get everything
working fine EXCEPT when X is running and I close a window the square
around the mouse (a PS/2 Scroll mouse) remains on the screen until it is
completely refreshed by moving another window over it. Just moving to
another one of the four virtual screens I run does not help.
If I reinstall the original Morphix The problem disappears until I
update again. I wouldn't bother updating except that I need the
functionality of a couple of the programs.
Any Ideas or is it a glitch in the i740 driver?
Stay well and happy
Heracles
