I'm running RH8.0 on an IBM R31, some small hiccups when I log off gnome
and KDE doesn't like the touchpad much. Mandrake 9.0 was more stable but
must be started with apm="broken_psr" appended to sort out cursor
problems.
Tried the same fix with RH8 to run KDE but decided I liked Gnome 2
sufficiently to not bother.
I find Redhat is less trouble free talking with the Novell Network/Windows
environment I work in, but Mandarke has some nice apps like Lyx which I
use all the time as a Maths/Physics teacher.
