Isn't that "uploading"? Or, "pushing" as I believe the terminology is
for this particular protocol.
I've got a Nokia 7650 that I've sent ring tones to over bluetooth. The
7650 just uses standard midi files. There's nothing special about them.
The application you're looking for is a patched version of ussp-push,
which you'll be able to find with a little googling.
It works using a protocol called OBEX (Object Exchange), so you'll need
the openobex libs on your box. There's apparently another program that
does this, which apparently ships with newer versions of the openobex
libraries. I don't know anything about it though.
There's some info out there about obex and ussp-push if you look around,
but yeah, the missing piece of the puzzle is that they're just midi
