I tried writing to ntfs way back when it first came out in the
kernel and now I will never do that again. I believe there are
some tools out to allow safe ntfs writing but I don't think
it's GPL. All I know is Mandrake 9.1 along with other distros
have an NTFS resizing feature which I believe is different to
writing to NTFS itself.
