IMO you/they are doing it wrong.
Ignoring the fact I don't think it's bad for kids to see porn, you/they
would be better off enforcing a rule saying they won't go looking for
porn and if they do they get kicked out for X days/weeks/etc.
Whatever technology type solution you/they go for, it (a) won't work
(unless you go for the "whitelist" approach rather than "blacklist"
but then it's not the internet it's a very small subset of it and more
than likely is useless)
and (b) kids will find ways to get around (and make them more determined
to do so) - which probably isn't a bad thing encouraging them to be
creative and find ways round problems etc.
