[SLUG] DVD playing

ogle or xine? i tried ogle but still doesn't play..
the FAQ says i need write access but /dev/dvd is a link to 
ide/host0/bus1/target0/lun0/cd, and chmod 777 /dev/dvd doesn't seem to
work..

any suggestions? thanks.
