Tried, but ran into version problems with the 1394 modules
and my kernel at the time. I'll try again soon.

Most DV cameras have input disabled as a anti-piracy
thing (BAH!) and need a hack to allow it which will
void your warranty.
Anyway the thought of driving an expensive camera hard
to backup a relatively cheap disk is not attractive to me.
