I guess it can be a bit hard knowing exactly WHAT the problem is.  It

Ok, I installed Linux Mandrake 7.?2? (I'm pretty sure) on Sunday.  Since
then NO programs I have tried to install go in.  These are specifically:

Xchat (dependencies problems)
xIrc (dependencies problems), and
Licq (dependencies problems - which is REALLY odd, as it comes with
Mandrake)

What am I doing?

I'm going in as root, typing in rpm -Uvh <program>

Ok, if you need any further hints, I'll have to ask you to be specific
in what I need to explain to you, because that's basically all I know.
