just a quick warning for anyone using Windows and Linux..

I'm a newbie running Debian and 98se, I recently installed Roxio's Goback3 
on Windows to basically advertise its features to friend running a windows 
only setup.  Its documentation was fairly comprehensive (I've only got 1 
hdrive and no burner) so I read everything, and there was nothing about dual 
or more operating systems other than different combinations of Windows (come 
on), So naturally I assumed there shouldn't really be a problem,
the install process warned me it would not protect any unrecognised 
partitions, So What, It did not tell me it would render them completely 
unusable,
Infact I cant even salvage the system from the boot floppy,
not happy as you can imagine,
so I wrote to them, and as of yet no response other than - Yes we received 
your email Thanks,

any ideas on recovering, without killing Windows (the missus will kill me)
