Does this mean it is possible to use truetype fonts without running a font
server?
It seems to be overly complicated to me the way fonts are organised in X.
I would love to get rid of microdollar from our office and am fiddling with
Linux as a desktop. My configurations need to be easy to set up and
administer but still provide the users with a quality appearance.
Improving the screen legibility and fonts is essential before I attempt to
replace Windows PC's with Linux. I would appreciate any suggestions about
how to go about this. I am using KDE 2.1 and StarOffice 5.2 for their
similarities to Win products.
