Aparently IPSec between Win2k's integrated IPSec system and FreeS/WAN
has been achived using shared secrets.
Also the Windows PGP distributions include PGPNet, a IPSec
implementation - however, I've not tried using them yet.
I've never tried setting up a PPTP server under Linux.
There is also CIPE which has a free windows NT implemenation, in
addition to its Linux implementation.
I've only really played with FreeS/WAN to FreeS/WAN connections - and
although its a fairly complicated procedure to set up initially, it
works quite well. Just make sure you enable the options for MTU
discovery if you're planning to bridge subnets with it.
