[SLUG] Font serving.

Just wondering if there was a common consensus on
sensible use of a font server.  i.e For a standalone
desktop (or laptop even) does a separate font
server process reduce the load significantly on
the Xserver, or is it just as economical to let the
Xserver modules handle all the fonts.
