Hi Sluggers,
I hope this isn't too OT (at least it's an OpenSource question!)
I have installed OpenLDAP
but don't feel too comfortable running it as root.
I cannot find any docos that tell me how to configure it to run as
a special user - in my case I want it to run as an "ldap" user.
Does anyone know the steps I need to do this?
In apache it's easy, you start the process off as root, then it
forks and changes UID to the user/group in the httpd.conf.
Is there something like this for OpenLDAP?
Thanks...
