Little trap for pipe fitters.
The first form doesn't work.
The second form does the right thing: (the echo's just for clarity)
48c50,51
< /usr/bin/find . -mtime -1 \( ! -type d \) -print >> $jillslist | tee
-a $MYLOGFILE
---
> echo "Locating files that have been modified, list is in $jillslist
with copy to $MYLOGFILE"
> /usr/bin/find . -mtime -1 \( ! -type d \) -print | tee -a $MYLOGFILE
>> $jillslist
FWIW, the subject: line was all that used to be given in the old 1976 Unix
manuals on tee(1).
Fortunately, more information is available these days!
Regards,
Jill.
