'tag alles,
So, various hobbits and creatures of the night have conspired to give me an
addiction to screen. I have no idea what I was missing, now that I've been
using it for a few months... I've even started having bouts of screen uptime
pride. Scary.
Problem: I also use ssh X forwarding, and these two do not mix [*].
Does anyone know how to "import" external environment variables into a
pre-existing screen session? Is it possible?
- Jeff
[*] ssh sets the DISPLAY and SSH_CLIENT environment variables so that X
applications can run on your X display. When you jump back into a screen
session that you started three months ago, the variables may (and should) be
quite different; thus the need to "import" the current ones.
