[SLUG] Paintball Wrap-up

Last weeks paintball day ended up being a beautiful day where Mutt vs
Others was contested by 15 hardy souls (we had 5 no-shows for various
reasons). To keep things brief, the Mutt (Yellow) team swept all before
it in an irrepressaable display of courage, teamwork and a sheer will to
win.

Hunt the Committee was statistically interesting but the actual event
was quite dull. The committee was hunted and wiped out quickly, even
Xfire running around with a semi-automatic in each hand failed to
connect with any of the on-coming hords. Yet when the committee hunted
everyone else it was a reverse route, with the entire committee left
standing after routing the rest of the group.

"Team Play of the Day" went to Striker, who found himself pinned down
behind a baricade with a Mutt (Yellow) team-mate who had the flag in the
third game of the day (Wood2). With 30 seconds left on the clock,
Striker was asked to "stand and take bullets" which he dutifully did,
allowing his team-mate to rush the Others (Blue) base and plant the
flag, sealing victory. Noble self-sacrificing Striker, we (Yellow)
salute you.

The low-light of the day was actually the following day when our hardy
war correspondant had his flat burgled and digital camera nicked, taking
all our photo's with it.

We'll be holding this event again next year and hope to see more of you
there :)
