[SLUG] rp-pppoe problem??

I get the impression (and it is only an impression at this stage as I
haven't yet quantified the detail) that rp-pppoe, or rather the utilities
in it, don't always run the /etc/ppp/ip-up* and /etc/ppp/ip-down* scripts
when you change the status of the ADSL link.  Sometimes they seem to run
and at others they don't.

Is anyone aware of any issues here?
