Hi all.
When I setup a RH7 server recently it installed perl 5.6.0.9, I needed to
upgrade it so I installed from the source perl 5.6.1.(Needed suidperl)
I am having some inconsistencies that might be a result of both versions
being installed, or parts thereof.
rpm -q perl says 5.6.0.9 and perl -v says 5.6.1.
If I uninstall the perl rpm it warns of breaking dependencies. Most of
which I don't know what they are doing. If I do this with -nodeps and then
re-install from the source would those dependencies be fixed or am I going
to have to recompile all of them as well?
This is on an important server, running our Intranet so I don't want to
break anymore than I have to!
Cheers,
Simon Bryan
