[SLUG] GConf problems with galeon.12

Hi, I've been having fun with "bleeding edge".......
I've got moz 0.93 installed and wanted to get galeon up and running -
however, I had to upgrade GConf from 1.00 to 1.03 after I upgraded galeon
(binary, rpm on mandrake 8.0) it keeps crashing saying that it "couldn't
find a schema for galeon" and to check gconf. There is a FAQ on the galeon
site showing the "changes" to make but said changes are in place already
and still no joy.... I also noticed that nautilus started to give the same
errors - I reverted to the old GConf and nautilus started working again.

Has anyone got the galeon 0.12 working under mandrake 8.0?
What does this GConf do?
