[SLUG] Aborted Security Talk last Friday night

Hi Guys!

I was severely bummed for not being able to speak at the meeting last Friday
night due to technical problems with the video projector. My presentation would
not have been effective or informative if I'd proceeded by using the
whiteboards.

Never-the-less, the talk is rescheduled for the next meeting. Hopefully by then
they'll have fixed the projector, or another room is available. A couple of you
have asked whether the notes will be put up on the Internet. They'll be
available after next month's meeting.

I planned on giving a talk about "Home Network Security", since more and more of
us are using Broadband, our home networks are on the Internet (semi)permanently,
and several people have sent emails recently to the list saying they've been
hacked. I'm going to give a couple of demonstrations which I hope will be
entertaining and informative, and should give everyone a feel for how and why
they should make an effort to secure home networks.
