[SLUG] DIALD and a weird SL# device problem

Hi all,

I use diald because of the numberoud PPP connections and multiple modem
support.
I have 3 links which auto dial on any available modem and dials the client.
My problem is that I noticed today and on other days the one link is also
trying to dial.
When I check with an ifconfig, I find that a link (in this case SL3) has no
IP address to it and yet the other links do.
I've noticed this a number of times and can't figure out why?

Anybody seen this happen before with diald?
