[SLUG] LPD problems. Connection refused

Hi all,

I have a problem that someone can hopefully rectify whilst i'm on site.

I have setup printers successfully under Printtool and can print using
the lpr -P printername and works but the jobs are stuck in the queue.
Machine is RedHat 6.2

"lpc status invoice" reports:
invoice:
        queuing is enabled
        printing is enabled
        1 entry in spool area
        no daemon present

"lpc start invoice" reports:
invoice:
        printing enabled
lpc: connect: Connection refused
        couldn't start daemon

I am logged in as root and the jobs will only print if I
restart LPD from /etc/rc.d/init/lpd restart.

Can anybody who can help please reply and REMOVE the [Slug]
the subject line as my rules will move the mail.
