[SLUG] Kernel Compile and Debian

Hi all,

I was wondering, under debian i have recompiled my kernel, and now the
modules don't load on boot up, including my network etc.

Now obviously this is a nusiance, but if i where to use make-kdpkg, the
kernel building scripts, will that new kernel work with modconf if i
install it from the deb ? Does that make sense ?
