My understanding (after being barraged by M$ trumpet blowing) is that NT
does not have a specific limit on the number of shares per machine (or
directories for that matter) and SAMBA behaves the same way.
I would also be interested if this can be confirmed.
My impression is that you probably have the number of files which can be
expressed as # permutations of file names.
