Hey sluggers,
I have dug around and am trying to get my crap onboard NIC to work with
Redhat 6.2. This machine is a cheap home one for the wife and I to surf etc.
Downloaded and installed the correct driver dmfe.o even recompiled it from
source.
The card is a Davicom 9102/A 10/100 PCI NIC. I can get it to insmod fine,
but then once i give it an ip address and ifup eth0 that works ok, then I
can't ping anything. I have the routes set properly, and have even rebooted
a couple of times :/
When I ping, the first ping gets thru, and back, but the rest don't. I know
the card works fine in win98. I tried recompiling the driver according to
the instuctions, but i get the same result.
Any suggestions? Anyone know if kernel 2.4testx will have updated drivers?
Where do i go to find out these things?
Anyone had experience with this problem and another driver?
Thanks,
Dave.
btw jeff i still know that guy from Club Macq
