Hi,
I attempted to reconfigure my Apache Server for SSI, since then it has not
run properly, I think I have removed all the directives I put in the httpd.conf file
but when I try to start it using 'apachectl start' it says it starts but no pid file
appears and I can't access it with a browser.
In the error file I get:
Syntax error on line 299 of /usr/local/apache/conf/httpd.conf:
Invalid command 'Order', perhaps mis-spelled or defined by a module not
included in the server configuration
the relevant part of the httpd.conf file is:
<Directory "/usr/local/apache/htdocs/">
Options FollowSymLinks Indexes
Order allow, deny
Deny from all
</Directory>
but even if I comment all this out I get the same error message but related to
whatever the next non-comment line is after the above section.
I am stumped as to what I have done, am downloading a binary from
Apache.org for i686 if I need to rebuild it totally. Is the i686 for a Pentium II?
Any help appreciated!
