Has anybody tried this ?

I'm downloading it at the moment, to give it a go as my new firewall, jeff
was right e-smith is good, but it seems to get in the way for what i want.

I would just go back to redhat or some such, but i figure if i'm going to
reset the box up, i might as well try something new.
