[SLUG] interesting scsi question

guys
I'm having a bit of trouble with a scsi CD writer. When I try

mount -t iso9660 /dev/scd0 /mnt/cdr

I get a "not a block device" error.

I have also tried MAKEDEV sg to make generic nodes but these dont work
either.
