What do people use for accounting for IP traffic? I need to be able to
get finite daily results broken down in each direction. Pretty graphs
are all well and good but I need finite figures to guestimate future
costs...
The options seem to be ipac and mrtg. I've had problems with ipac
before (losing old data) and mrtg uses snmp which is (I'm told) not very
complete or reliable in the Linux kernel...
Ideas? It's for an old kernel machine 2.0.36 and I can't upgrade it but
ip accounting is compiled in.
