Would you like to see MS applications on other O/S's? Some do, some don't.
This article states the case for the MS Apps Company in the MS splitup
being the winner of the two. Investors take note.

Think about this: MS Apps could be invading Linux, Unix, Macs, BeOs, the BSD's,
etc. via any of the following methods:
(*) native code apps running under X or the OS GUI as applicable
(*) apps written in Java via ASPs
(*) Windows apps run in Windows emulation environments
All three of the above could easily be exploited by a none-too-poor startup
called MS Apps, will access to all the intellectual of Windows annd
the existing Apps.
My money's on the Apps, giving birth to the death of MS Windows O/S, and
the decline of MS on the desktop.
P.S. MS Apps will have a l-o-n-g way to go in the server market if they
wish to produce server software that runs on alternative platforms.
