RE: [chat] Re: [SLUG] Missing Person who has written to yourdiscussions

A couple of Google hits for "australia missing person",

http://www.missingpersons.gov.au - National Missing Persons Unit

www.missingpersons.com.au - International Missing Persons (this looks
like a really dodgey website but it has a "Steven Lockey" that's also
found on missingpersons.gov.au.

www.peoplesearchaustralia.com.au - People Search Australia (provides
commercial investigation services)

Nobody found for Steven Peter, Steven Blunt, Peter Blunt, Blunt Peter
or "Steve".

Other agencies gotten from www.police.nsw.gov.au are

The NSW Police Missing Persons Unit
The Salvation Army Missing Persons Bureau
The Australian Red Cross Tracing Unit

But it seems like a lot of work to taylor a spam message targeting a
very small audience.

  - References were made specific to Slug
  - There's a photo of somebody who fits the SLUG profile (imo)
  - The details of last known whereabouts seem is reasonably close to
SLUG meetings and crime prone area (eg Sydney, Newtown)
  - The provided return email addresses appear legitimate
  - It looks like a legitimate domestic/Australian services site

But http://www.ozreunion.com.au/ seems like a recreational website
rather than an official missing persons website endorsed, sponsored or
run by the government.

The NSW Police Missing Persons Unit Parramatta office is closed, so I
tried getting details off Newtown Police station for "Steven Peter
Blunt" but they won't disclose any details in relation to missing
persons cases. They wouldn't even confirm if somebody had been
reported. The officer was aware of www.ozrenunion.com and described it
to be a site used by people who've gone missing for a while.

But you'd expect that if a person has been missing for 2 weeks and an
internet resource is used to register/publicise the incident that more
than 1 site would be used. I could not find a match at any other
missing persons website.
