[chat] Need to sell car urgently.. suggestions?

Hi Ladies & Gents,

So I'm going overseas soon (very soon) and what I thought would be a
quick & easy process of selling a car has turned into a real last-minute
rush job. Maybe it's a bad time to sell? Aaaaanyway, I was just
wondering if anyone has been to the Flemington Car Markets before? 
I just want to find out what goes on there - things like effective
marketing tips (does sticking a sign on top of the car help?), how the
buy/sell system works (do they give you a deposit on the spot if
somebody wants to buy the car? or how does it work?), and I want to get
an idea if it's worth wasting a Sunday (8am-4pm) going there to try and
sell the car (maybe not that many people go anymore?).

Any other suggestions as for a quick way to sell a car are welcome. I've
already tried dealerships and as predicted they offer you 50% of what
the car is really worth. Car auction was an option, but again they don't
give you anywhere near the amount that the car is worth. I'm not looking
for top dollar as I'm in a hurry to sell, but I'm also not going to give
it away for $3000+ less than what its worth.

FYI, the car is a black 1991 Honda Prelude 2.3L coupe, manual,
133,500kms.
