I have the opinion (my opinion, I'm entitled to it!) that very few people
change their mind.. they simply take whatever supports their point of
view. "I was right to begin with - here's the evidence!"
John Howard is a narrow minded bigot who confuses economy with society -
Paul Keating was a visionary who clearly saw australia's place in the
world. I can find plenty of evidence to support my thesis. Anything you
put up to refute it is simply misunderstanding the facts and failing to
interpret reality. So there!
More seriously.. it's funny watching Bush et al touting "God on our side"
and then denigrating the Muslim extremists who are clearly so devoted to
Allah that they are prepared to lay down their lives. What makes it even
funnier (in a tragic kinda way) is that that it's the SAME GOD! It makes
me proud to be an atheist. Reductio ad absurdum.
