That's fine, and it's a perfect defence against those who
argue it should be balanced.  But it does not mean that the
film cannot be criticised as presenting falsehoods.
(whether it actually does or not of course I do not know)

Saying it's opinion piece is as air-headed as the unfortunately
common phrase "well that's just my opinion and I'm entitled to it!"
or variation thereof.
