For what it's worth, I updated spamassassin on maddog from 2.60 to 2.61
this morning.  Amongst other bugfixes the changelog has this:

2003-09-28 15:59  felicity

        * lib/Mail/SpamAssassin/EvalTests.pm: bug 2492:
        MICROSOFT_EXECUTABLE would sometimes not hit because of slightly
        different characters in the base64 encoding.

...which I think may have been affecting the scoring on those virii.
