The trouble is, because everyone has diluted the "Linux" name, by calling
the entire Linux/distribution/FOSS stack "Linux", you're just going to have
to live with the consequences.
Linux the Kernel, GNU/Linux the Platform, <insert-here> the Distribution.
But Real People don't care about Platform or Distribution.
Couldn't have said it better.
