I tend to agree with that - but lets hope the LUG in NZ doesn't
decide to take it forther with the Lawyers...:-)
-=> But, from the article:
-=>
-=> "Software Images general manager David Hill denied there was a
-=> non-compete agreement with Microsoft.
-=>
-=> But the existence of a 15-page contract with a
-=> non-compete clause was
-=> confirmed by Microsoft competitive strategy manager
-=> Brett Roberts."
-=>
-=> What kind of a "non-compete" clause can there be in a
-=> contract between
-=> MS and a disk pressing company?
Probably that the disk pressing company would not engage in work for
any company which may be in competition with Microsoft....
As M$ said in the article, they are a "strategic partner" - which is
M$-speak for "a company we can intimidate into doing what we want"
