Hi,
I've just switched to Vantec Stealth fans in my Dual Duron (aka White Noise
Generator), which has six 80mm fans in it (It runs HOT). The reduction in
noise is incredible. It's about 1/3 of what it was. These aren't cheap,
however, at about $20 a pop.
I bought mine from eyo.com.au, who stock the 80 and 92mm versions.
Cheers,
Matt
P.S. It's not just case fans that are noisy, however. You'll want to have a
think about silent chip coolers like the Zalman series (not sure whether
these are available for the Athlon) and quiet power supplies.

G'day all...
A friend of mine has an Athlon based PC. The noise of the fan in the casing
is very loud. He lives in a studio apartment, and would like to have his PC
going more frequently.
Can anyone suggest quiet cooling systems and/or casing? A supplier close to
the eastern suburbs would be fantastic.
TIA...
Mike
