Not at all, a journalling filesystem attempts to maintain the integrity of
the filesystem. RAID attempts to maintain the integrity of the device.
Go for ext3, and if you're really keen, there are a bunch of very worthwhile
optimisations you can do between it and RAID, depending on the RAID level
you've chosen.
